IOC restricts new LPG connections

Our Bureau

New Delhi, July 30 IOC has restricted new domestic LPG connections for consumers.

“We have not bought new cylinders for this year due to cash crunch and so we do not have equipment to give new connections,” the IOC Chairman, Mr Sarthak Behuria, said.

Though IOC is registering new consumers, it has not given connections leading to a wait list of over two lakh consumers.

IOC is losing Rs 338.53 on sale of every 14.2 kg LPG cylinder.

“We do not have working capital to service new consumers. So temporarily we have stopped issuing new connections. Consumers are welcome to enrol,” he said.
