Financial Performance Corporate Results - Software Offshoring lifts HTMT Global Q1 revenues to Rs 178 cr
Our Bureau Bangalore, July 31 HTMT Global Solutions Ltd, provider of outsourcing solutions, reported a 17-per cent growth in revenue in the first quarter, helped by increased off-shoring by clients, and said it expected good business in the second quarter. For the latest quarter, net profit was Rs 20.05 crore, compared with Rs 17.87 crore in the year-ago quarter, the company, which is a part of the Hinduja Group, said. Revenue increased to Rs 177.93 crore (Rs 151.96 crore). Business pressure on companies was high and they were off-shoring more to shore up the bottom-line, said Mr Partha Sarkar, Chief Executive, HTMT. This had helped HTMT, he added. He said the pricing environment is encouraging. Most of the company’s contracts have annual or bi-annual price adjustment provisions to factor in the increase in the cost of living, he added. The company would hire 2,000 to 3,000 employees in the financial year 2008-2009, Mr Sarkar said. In the first quarter, the company has added about 600 employees, he added. He also said the company would start the construction of another campus in Durgapur, West Bengal this fiscal. HTMT has recently opened its second delivery centre in Chennai, and plans to open a centre in Mumbai in August, it said. However, shares of the company fell by 1.81 per cent or Rs 5.15 to Rs 280.00 on Thursday on the Bombay Stock Exchange. More Stories on : Financial Performance | Software
