Mindteck posts Rs 5.5 cr net

Bangalore, July 31 Bangalore-based Mindteck (India) Ltd, an IT services company, reported net profit of Rs 5.54 crore on revenue of Rs 73.36 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.

The figures are not comparable with the year-ago quarter, as the process of acquisitions and consolidation ended only by the end of April 2008, the company said in a statement.

During the first quarter, Mindteck acquired Primetech Solutions Inc, a California-based IT consulting company. It also acquired Mindteck UK Ltd, based in London, and Mindteck Singapore Pte Ltd.

On a standalone basis, revenue for the first quarter was Rs 13.01 crore, compared with Rs 7.69 crore in the year-ago period, the company added.
