Virtusa revenue up, net slips

Hyderabad, July 31 Virtusa Corporation registered revenues of $42.5 million with net profit of $0.8 million for the quarter ending June 30, as against revenues of $37.44 million and profit of $2.6 million for the corresponding quarter last year.

It closed with $94.8 million in cash equivalents and the company board has authorised share purchase buyback programme up to $15 million of common stock.

The company, in a statement, hinted at increasing utilisation levels in second half of the year and at revenues of $172-180 million for 2009.
