Patni opens green BPO centre in Noida

New Delhi, July 31 Patni Computer Systems has announced the launch of its first green IT-BPO knowledge centre in Noida with a seating capacity of over 3,500.

The environment-friendly facility, set up with an investment of Rs 175 crore, is in sync with the company’s green initiatives around efficient utilisation and conservation of energy, water and natural resources.

The ‘Patni Knowledge Centre’ is designed and constructed as per the guidelines of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design India Green Building Rating System for New Construction.

The centre is currently under certification process and is jointly audited by the Indian Green Building Council and US Green Building Council, a company release said.

“We recognise our responsibility to protect the environment. The launch of our first Green centre is a significant step in demonstrating the company’s commitment to environment conservation,” Mr Narendra K. Patni, Chairman & CEO, Patni, said while inaugurating the centre.
