Manipal University wins award

Manipal University has won the ‘best in class’ award (second highest) of the International Asia Pacific Quality Award-2008, under education category, promoted by Asia Pacific Quality Organisation (APQO).

A University press release said here on Thursday that this award will be presented at ‘APQO/International Conference of Quality Managers’ at Tehran in Iran. The conference will be held from August 23 to 25.

The release said that the criteria for the award included leadership, strategic planning, student, stakeholder and market focus, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, faculty and staff focus, process management, and results.
