Elecon Engineering net rises 15%

Ahmedabad, July 31

Elecon Engineering Company Ltd reported a net profit of Rs 11.94 crore (Rs 10.41 crore) up 15 per cent for the quarter ended June30. The turnover was reported at Rs 168.65 crore (Rs 129 crore), up 31 per cent. The total income was posted at Rs 169.56 crore (Rs 133.31 crore), up 27 per cent. The turnover of the Material Handling Division grew by 58 per cent, with large order book position and aggressive marketing initiatives, said Mr Prayasvin Patel, Chairman and Managing D irector. “The growth in turnover and net profit has come from increased marketing efforts, better manufacturing efficiencies and rationalisation of costs,” he said.
