USFDA nod for Aurobindo's injections

Hyderabad, Aug. 2

The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) accorded final approval for Aurobindo Pharma Ltd's sterile injectible formulation line. It had also approved two Abbreviated New Drug Applications of the Hyderabad-based company for ceftriaxone injections.

The injections are cephalosporin's products under the anti-infective segment. "This is the first product approval of the sterile injectible formulations line unit VI-B, situated in Hyderabad by USFDA," the company said in a release.

The unit is Aurobindo's second sterile injectible facility besides the facility of Cephazone joint venture in California, US.- Our Bureau
