RMAAI releases first rural retail study

Chennai, Aug. 2

Rural Marketing Agencies Association of India (RMAAI) has announced the release of a report on a nationwide rural retail study. A press release says the report will help marketers of a wide range of products to work out their rural retail strategy. This first research project of RMAAI has been co-sponsored and conducted by Francis Kanoi Marketing Research, a Chennai-based agency reputed for its syndicated studies on consumer durables and the agricultural sector, the press release said. The study seeks to estimate the number of retail outlets in rural India by listing them in 609 villages of different sizes across the 67 socio-cultural zones in 203 districts covering 6,105 households or 70 per cent of the country, the release added. The report is priced at Rs 25,000 a copy and is available from the registered office of RMAAI at Chennai. There is a 20 per cent discount for those who order copies before September 15. —
