Tourism States - West Bengal Workshop on tourism Kolkata, Aug. 3 The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi), in collaboration with the Union Ministry for the Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), organised in Guwahati on Friday a workshop on how to boost tourism in the North East. Mr K.N. Hazarika, CMD of NEDFi, Mr P.K. Dong, NEDFi’s consultant for promotion of tourism, and senior officials of the Union Ministry of Tourism, among others, addressed the day-long workshop attended by the Government officials, tour operators, NGOs and bank officials from all eight north eastern states, according to a press release issued by NEDFi. It was revealed at the workshop that the Indian Tour & Travel Operators Convention in Bhubaneswar from August 7-10 would give special focus on North-East tourism thanks to the special initiative being taken by NEDFi and Ministry of DoNER in this regard, the press release adds. — Our Bureau More Stories on : Tourism | West Bengal
