Hyderabad, Aug 3

National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd has announced that Mr S. Venkatesan has assumed charge as Director (Production). Prior to his elevation to the Board, he was functioning as General Manager, Bailadila Iron Ore Mine, Kirandul Complex in Chhattisgarh. A release from the company said that Mr Venkatesan, after completing his B. Tech in Metallurgy from IIT, Madras in 1972, joined NMDC Ltd as Executive Trainee in 1973. During the course of his service over 35 years in NMDC, he had been closely associated with Research & Development activities of the company and was Project Manager of UPFO Plant at Visakhapatnam.
