Food quality lab opened

Hyderabad, Aug. 5 Mr N. Raghuveera Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture, inaugurated the Rs 5-crore Food Analytical and Quality Control Laboratory to help exporters of agricultural and horticultural produce at Chintal here.

The operation and maintenance of the laboratory would be handled by the Mumbai-based Ascho Industries Ltd.

The AP Agros spent Rs 3 crore on the project, while the Union Government contributed the remaining Rs 1.8 crore.
