People Louis Pereira to head Mahindra Automotive Our Bureau Mumbai, Aug 5 Mahindra & Mahindra today announced the appointment of Mr Rajesh Jejurikar as Chief of Operations and Mr Rajan Wadhera as Chief of Engineering and Development. Mr Louis Pereira has been appointed CEO of Mahindra Automotive Ltd (MAL). Meanwhile, Mr Nalin Mehta has been appointed CEO of Mahindra Renault Pvt Ltd. As Chief of Operations, Mr Jejurikar will head end-to-end operations. In addition to his current sales and marketing function, he will also oversee the manufacturing function, said a company release. As chief of engineering and development Mr Wadhera will head product engineering and development. In addition to his current product development role, he will also oversee the materials management function. As CEO of MAL, Mr Pereira will oversee the development of the Chakan plant. He will also be responsible for the functioning of plant which will manufacture new products from Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd. Mahindra Renault Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra and Renault, which makes the midsize sedan ‘Logan’, announced the appointment of Mr Nalin Mehta as Chief Executive Officer. Mr Mehta will join the company’s board. Mr Mehta will assume responsibility from Mr Rajesh Jejurikar who will step down as Managing Director of Mahindra Renault from October 1, 2008.
