Hyderabad, Aug. 7 The Associate Bank’s Officers’ Association (ABOA) of State Bank of India will observe a one-day strike on August 18 to protest against the merger of State Bank of Saurashtra with SBI. The association is also demanding superannuation benefits to officers of associate banks as available for those in SBI, Mr Harsha Vardhan Madabhushi, General Secretary of ABOA, State Bank of Hyderabad unit, told newspersons here on Thursday. “Depending on the developments, w e plan to go on indefinite strike from September. We are totally against the merger of any associate bank with SBI,” he said.
