Low-cost solar water heaters

Kochi, Aug. 8

Thrissur-based Hykon India Pvt Ltd has rolled out an array of eco-series models of low-cost solar water heater and inverters for families. The water heaters are available in 50-, 75- and 100-litre capacities. The new range of invertors (200 VA and 300 VA) can be used to operate a fan, 2 to 4 CFL lamps and a TV set at the same time. These invertors can be used as a domestic inverter, home UPS or as a solar inverter. These products are pre-destined to revolutionise the very psyche of use of water heaters in middle-class and smaller households in the country, said the CMD of Hykon India, Mr Christo George. The new range of invertors launched by the company can be used in 3 modes – as a domestic inverter, as a home UPS and as a solar inverter. – Our Bureau
