Kochi, Aug 10 The Lootah Applied Academy (LAA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the UAE-based conglomerate S.S. Lootah Group, announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with TKM Global Technology and Research Foundation, which is part of the Kerala-based TKM group of institutions.

The protocol agreement was inked by Mr Yousef Saeed Lootah on behalf of Haj Saeed Lootah, Chairman of S.S. Lootah Group, and Mr Shahal H. Musaliar, Group Chairman, TKM Global Technology and Research Foundation.

As part of the agreement, Lootah Applied Academy and TKM will cooperate closely in providing quality education, training, technology transfer and research facilities to the student community in the UAE and India.

The UAE-based academy will also work closely with TKM Finishing School for providing technical, functional and soft skills to bridge the gap between academic courses and industry requirements.

Mr Yousef Saeed Lootah, Executive Board Director of the Group, said, “Our alliance will benefit students in India as well as the UAE by sharpening the skill sets of the new generation of workforce. The vast experience of TKM over the past five decades in providing technical education will also help LAA fulfil the social responsibility in providing trained manpower in advanced technology sectors to meet the future needs of the national economy.”

Mr Musaliar said the tie-up was in line with TKM’s primary vision of providing quality education and training.
