NCDEX Spot Exchange head quits

Our Bureau

Mumbai, Aug 11 Even as the much-awaited electronic spot exchange initiative of NCDEX is yet to take off comprehensively, Ms Sanvali Kaushik, Chief Executive Officer, NCDEX Spot Exchange, has put in her papers.

Ms Kaushik said it was a tough decision taken for the betterment of her carrier. “I only wish I will get an opportunity in future to serve this organisation again”.

Confirming the development, Mr R. Ramaseshan, Managing Director, NCDEX, said “We are in search for a suitable candidate to replace Ms Kaushik”.

Ms Kaushik joined NCDEX in 2004 as Head-Product and Business Development and was moved to head the spot exchange division in April 2008.

Ms Kaushik said she would join the Bangalore-based Future Tree, a West Asian firm that is gradually migrating from trading of non-ferrous metal to manufacturing.

Future Tree is a $600 million company with global operations in secondary metals, power, cement and mining, besides free trading zones and supply chain management in 30 countries.
