Naiknavare hands over 237 flats under Bharat Pattern project

Our Bureau

Pune, Aug. 11 Pune-based real estate developer, Naiknavare Developers Pvt Ltd, has handed over 237 flats in the Hadapsar area to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), free of cost.

Mr Hemant Naiknavare, Director of Naiknavare Group, said the 237 flats form part of the 1,008 two and three BHK (bedroom hall kitchen) apartments and row houses and two commercial buildings in the Kale Padal area of Hadapsar under the mixed housing concept which was introduced under the Bharat Pattern by Naiknavare last year.

The entire project has been completed using the Aluform technique, a patented technology of Naiknavare. Giving a backgrounder, Mr Hemant said the project was in an area reserved for the economically weaker section, in which the acquiring authority was the PMC.

Reservation

The reservation was introduced in 1966, which continued up to 1997. In 1997, the policy was revised and opened up the reservation areas for public housing.

The land owner could develop the site and 15 per cent of the tenement (smallest size) were to be handed over to the PMC. This kind of project was meant for the transit population as also for the project-affected housing people.

Each of the 237 flats that have been handed over is spread over 270 sq ft. The flats are in two buildings of four storeys each.
