2nd wellness centre from Manipal Cure & Care

Manipal Cure & Care says its newly launched second wellness centre in Sarjapur introduces fitness, exercise and sports medicine for the first time along with its other services.

The Back2Fitness (B2F) service is aimed at people with back, shoulder, knee and other musculoskeletal problems.

It also has specialised analytical and remedial programmes for amateur and professional athletes, apart from theme programmes for corporate clients, a release states.

B2F is headed by Dr Rajat Chauhan, who has specialised in osteopathic, sports and exercise medicine.

Preventive care

Manipal Cure and Care says its centres driven by doctors and paramedics promote preventive healthcare, wellness and beauty under one roof.

The Minister for Medical Education, Mr Ramachandra Gowda, opened the centre at Total Mall at Sarjapur on Monday in the presence of Manipal Education & Medical Group Chairman, Dr Ramdas Pai, and MCC COO, Mr Somnath Das.

Corporate schemes

For corporates, B2F will bring the services of ergonomists along with themes like evaluate onsite job skills and work environment, job skills design advice, workstation design advice, employee education on body mechanics and injury prevention, posture correction exercises and follow-up clinics.

A performance enhancement programme will include video gait analysis, specific musculoskeletal assessment and daily conditioning and endurance programmes.
