Indian Space Research Organisation announced 72 awards for its employees for 2007 on Tuesday, the birth anniversary of the visionary of the Indian space programme, Dr Vikram Sarabhai. The list of seven performance awards of Rs 5 lakh each names Mr A. Bhaskaranarayana, Scientific Secretary and Director, Satellite Communications Project Office; Mr S.K. Das, former Additional Secretary and currently Honorary Adviser to ISRO; Dr K.N. Shankara, until recently Director of the Sa tellite Centre; Mr P.S. Veeraraghavan of ISRO Inertial Systems Unit; Mr V. Gnana Gandhi, Mr P.P. Sinha, Deputy Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre; and Mr N. Vedachalam, Visiting Scientist. —
