Sripathi is new Special Chief Secretary

Mr K.S. Sripathi has been appointed the Special Chief Secretary to Tamil Nadu Government with the responsibilities on part with that of the Chief Secretary.

Mr Sripathi, a 1975 batch IAS officer, was prior to this posting the Additional Chief Secretary, Vigilance Commissioner and Commissioner of Administrative Reforms. He will continue to be the Commissioner, Vigilance and Administrative Reforms.

According to a copy of the Government Order released to the media, the State Government today created the temporary post of Special Chief Secretary to Government for three months.

The order says that the post is equivalent in status and responsibilities to the cadre post of Chief Secretary.
