Khaitan re-elected tea body chief

Kolkata, Aug. 14

At its meeting held here on Tuesday, the National Committee of the Indian Tea Association (ITA) re-elected Mr Aditya Khaitan, Managing Director, McLeod Russel India Ltd as the Chairman; Mr Aditya Kumar Jajodia, Managing Director & CEO of Assam Company Ltd, the Vice-Chairman; and Mr C.S. Bedi, Managing Director, Rossell Tea Ltd, the Additional Vice-Chairman of the association for 2008-09, according to a press release issued by ITA. As the Chairman of ITA, Mr Khaitan wil l concurrently hold the Chairmanship of the Consultative Committee of Plantation Associations (CCPA), the apex body of the country’s plantation associations, the press release adds.
