The Hindu Business Line : Aid for Sikkim, Puducherry

The Union Cabinet has given its nod for grant of additional Central assistance to the Government of Sikkim and Union Territory of Puducherry for long-term reconstruction of the infrastructure damaged during floods of the 2005 season. The additional Central assistance would be to the tune of Rs 115.71 crore with a grant component of Rs 84.87 crore and a loan component of Rs 30.84 crore, the Information & Broadcasting Minister, Mr Priyaranjan Dasmunshi, told reporters af ter Cabinet meeting here.
