Our Bureau

New Delhi, Aug. 18 Efkon India, a subsidiary of Efkon AG, along with its new shareholder Strabag SE, has received orders worth Rs 28.05 crore to build and manage toll management services for three projects.

These include the Bangalore elevated tollway, Chennai IT Expressway (six-lane) and the Surat-Dahisar tollway.

For the Chennai IT Expressway, Efkon India will supply, install, commission and maintain the equipment, said a release. The system includes the facility of electronic tolling based on Efkon’s infra-red technology, which is currently being used on the Noida Toll Bridge in the National Capital Region.

Efkon will also supply its toll management system to the Bangalore elevated tollway, a project undertaken by Nagarjuna Constructions, Soma Enterprises and Maytas Infrastructure.

The company will also set up toll and weigh-in-motion systems for four plazas on the Surat-Dahisar stretch and would provide complete system integration solutions besides overseeing the maintenance of this stretch.
