Infrastructure Kerala hands over land for ICTT project Our Bureau Kochi, Aug 19 The Kerala Government on Saturday handed over the lands required to NHAI and Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd for the proposed road-rail connectivity project for the proposed International Container Transhipment Terminal (ICTT) at Vallarpadam. The project is to be to be developed by Kochi Port and DP World on a BOT route. One of the major hindrances in the development of the ICTT project has been overcome with the handing over of the land for the connectivity projects by the Chief Minister at a function organised here. He added that Vallarpadam project will become a landmark in the State's transition to progress. He also pointed out that a world class container terminal will be constructed at Vizhinjam near Thiruvananthapuram in three years time. He said that obstacles encountered in acquiring land have been meticulously overcome so that ground is favourable for construction activities to begin. Now the work should carry out on a war footing, he added.
