Supply Chain Management States - Tamil Nadu Bill to regulate private courier services soon Our Bureau Ariyalur, Aug 18 A bill to regulate private courier services will be introduced in the coming session of Parliament, the Union Minister for Communication and Information Technology. Mr A. Raja, said here on Saturday. Launching Project Arrow, a programme to restructure and modernise the Department of Posts, at the post offices at Ariyalur, Perambalur and other places, Mr Raja said steps were being taken to modernise the services of the department by the introduction of latest technologies. Efforts were being made to introduce some banking services through post offices to bring the department out of the red. In Tamil Nadu, 800 post offices have been computerised and 500 more would be during this year. A new building would be constructed for the Perambalur Head Post Office and Rs 1 crore had been allotted for the construction of building for the Thuraiyur Head Post Office.
