New Delhi, Aug. 18 The Ministry of Civil Aviation has allowed the promoters of the new Hyderabad airport to levy a User Development fee of Rs 375 on every departing domestic passenger. The airport handles between 15,500 and 17,500 domestic passengers daily.

The date from when the UDF will be levied is yet to be firmed up by airport promoters, the GMR Group. “Special counters will be set up in the pre-check in area to collect the UDF,” a GMR spokesman said.

The airport has been collecting a UDF of Rs 1,000 from every departing international passenger since April 23.
