Attaining equilibrium

This refers to the article “Economic downturn” (Business Line, August 18). Equilibrium is a position of rest or normalcy which all individuals (in their personal life), companies (in their business) and governments (in all social, political and economic spheres) try to attain.

Several controllable and uncontrollable factors need to be negotiated with patience and perseverance to achieve equilibrium.

As the author has correctly put it “the overall positive and negative factors are always in a dynamic and constructive equilibrium”.

S. Ramakrishnasayee, Ranipet (TN)
