Sikkim tour promotion

Gangtok, Aug 19 The Travel Agents Association of Sikkim (TAAS) will be embarking on an enhanced tourism sensitisation and promotion drive besides providing backend support to all the tourism stakeholders in the State.

The decision to play a more proactive role was reached after the body presented its roadmap to the State Tourism Minister, Mr R.B. Subba, and the Tourism Secretary, Mr S.B.S. Bhaduria, here.

The Tourism Minister gave the green signal and assured the association of all help to take the tourism drive to village-level stakeholders.

Under the drive, the association will assist the promotion of tourism taken up by various stake holders such as tourism development committees, home stays, village tourism bodies, ecotourism committees and societies at an institutional level.
