Employee benefits

The editorial “Collective equity” (Business Line, August 13) on employee stock option plans (ESOPS) is valid in the present day corporate service.

It is obvious that the employees have not taken a serious look at the benefits that would accrue to them as share holders of the company when they get an opportunity to place before the board of directors their points of view.

They will also be eligible to receive dividends and other benefits such as shares on the right basis, besides selling them for cash. The employees should be educated on the benefits by BSNL.
