Spices Park in Guntur dist

The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has said the Spices Park being set up in Guntur district will prove a great boon to farmers in the district and surrounding regions, as they will get the required facilities for processing and export of the commercial crops such as chilli and turmeric.

He was speaking at a function at Mydavolu village in Yadlapadu mandal on Thursday at the site of the park.

The Union Minister of State for Commerce, Mr Jairam Ramesh, also participated in the function.

The Chief Minister said a spices lab would also be set up in Guntur district for the benefit of farmers. It would provide the required technical assistance.
