Mangalore, Aug. 22

Mr K.C. Jena, Chairman of Railway Board, visited Bagalkot and Hospet stations of South Western Railway (SWR) zone recently. A press release by SWR said here that Mr Jena inaugurated a goods shed at Bagalkot station, and advised the officers to strive hard to improve the loading and overall performance and to achieve the targets set for the Railway this financial year. At Hospet station, he inaugurated a tourist information centre. He also visited the plant of Jindal Vijayn agar Steels Ltd (JVSL) at Torangallu, and had a meeting with the officials of JVSL regarding the development of infrastructure, the release added. –
