Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Aug. 22 Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA) is hosting a workshop on cloud computing to provide a peek into what this holds for technology companies and users.

Progress Software India and Google India Inc are supporting the workshop being held at the Google office on Saturday.

Cloud computing experts from Hyderabad, Bangalore and the US will share their perspectives and experiences with virtualisation and other areas which will impact users and developers.

The workshop will have technical sessions on the infrastructure, design approaches and case studies presented.

The President, HYSEA, Mr Narasimha Rao, in a statement said, “One of the focus areas for HYSEA is to promote forums in the local IT community around emerging trends in the industry. Cloud Computing presents businesses around the world with an exciting prospect of exploiting technology without the upfront investments, which are required in the traditional models.”

“We expect our member companies to provide leadership in this emerging field and exploit the immense business opportunity it offers to the IT industry. The response from the members has been very encouraging for this workshop and this reflects the immense potential for the new Software service paradigm,” he said.
