Strategy States - Kerala Godrej targets Rs 45-cr sales during Onam Our Bureau Kochi, Aug. 22 Godrej Appliances, one of the leading appliance manufacturers, has unveiled its Onam plans in Kerala and has set a sales target of Rs 45 crore in the festival season. The company is aiming an annual sales turnover of Rs 120 crore in the State in the current fiscal as against Rs 80 crore achieved in the previous fiscal, Mr Ramesh Chembath, General Manager - Marketing, Godrej Appliances said while announcing the ‘Ee Onam Ponnonam offer’ on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee year celebration. The company has also introduced scratch and win offers apart from gift schemes for sale during the season. He said Godrej, which is a very strong player in the market, is expecting 50 per cent sales growth during the festival season. Kerala is among the top five markets for the company in terms of market share, he added. He pointed out that the sale of frost-free refrigerators has witnessed a growth of 35 per cent in the State during the current year, up from 27 per cent last year. The growth in the sales of fully-automatic washing machines was 45 per cent. For air conditioners, the growth was 83 per cent while microwave ovens witnessed a growth of 53 per cent.
