Delhi to host floriculture expo 2008

Ahmedabad, Aug 25 To promote the floriculture industry in India, the fourth International Flora Expo 2008, third International Landscape and Gardening Expo 2008 and International Florist and Floral Art Expo 2008 will be held in Delhi from September 26 to 28.

It is an initiative of Media Today Group, agro-based publication chain and event management company along with iFlora (Indian Flowers and Ornamental Plants Welfare Association), a non-profit promotion body.

It is meant to be a meeting point for flower growers, wholesalers, retailers, marriage planners, event organisers, corporate houses, floral designing schools, super market chains and all kinds of floral accessories and input suppliers. Floriculture export in 2007-08 dropped 48.21 per cent to Rs 3.38 billion compared with last year.
