Education States - Tamil Nadu ‘Right time for students to enter biz world’

Our Bureau Tiruchi, Aug. 25 With India experiencing tremendous economic growth, the time is apt for students to get into the business world, Mr R. Ramaraj, Senior Advisor, Sequoia Capital, India, said initiating the BL Club activities at the Jamal Institute of Management of Jamal Mohamed College recently. Addressing the ninth batch of MBA students, Mr Ramaraj said the country is witnessing growth not only in IT, but also in sectors such as manufacturing, industries, infrastructure and marketing. He exposed students to the models of leadership in top-notch organisations such as Johnson and Johnson, Ford, and Apple. Moral leadership is possible through learning values along with management principles, he told the students, emphasising on the utility of their constant interaction with corporate icons. The Institute Director and Principal of Jamal Mohamed College, Mr M. Sheik Mohamed, laid stress on the need for students to imbibe leadership traits from business leaders. Mr Bejoy John Thomas, Member-In-Charge of the Institute, said the BL Club will serve as a forum for interface between students and corporate leaders. In his presentation, Mr R.
