Corp Bank’s product for students

Coimbatore, Aug. 25

Corporation Bank has designed a product – Corp New Gen – especially for students. The product designed in association with Interact Clubs under Rotary International District 3201 aims to inculcate savings habit among youth. “We propose to initiate the ‘save while you learn’ project for school students and ‘earn and save while you learn’ for college students,” the Interact Clubs District Chairman, Mr R Hendry Amalraj, said. Th e features include a minimum balance of Rs 100, free debit card and Internet banking, SMS banking, mobile recharge through ATM and railway ticket booking among others. The project is being initiated in 100 corporation schools this month. To enable college students earn and save even as they pursue their course, the club has associated with LIC. ‘This would give them independent earning opportunity, albeit part time, through insurance agency. The successful candidates would be able to obtain the required licence and appointment letter to begin doing business for LIC,’ he said.
