BL Club organised a campus interface at the Baselious College-Kottayam. Students evinced keen interest in the developments in the corporate world.

Ms Chithra V. Menon, Assistant Manager, Geojit, who dwelt at length on various topics such as inflation, investment etc presented a case study of Infosys.

As a result of inflation, cost of living is increasing and those who are planning for investment should do it only in productive propositions. To beat inflation, savings should be channelised to appropriate investments, she said.

The risk appetite is also to be taken care of. To the investors, sensible financial people would only advice that they should invest early, invest regularly and invest in long terms, Ms Chithra said.

She also spoke on stock market, depository, buying and selling of shares, trading of shares in secondary market, the method of investment in shares, clearing and settlements etc.

Mr P.C. Muralidharan, Deputy Regional Manager (Circulation) of The Hindu group, invited the views of students. Mr M.M. Peter, Senior Manager, Geojit, answered questions. Mr Deepu presented mementos to Ms Chithra Menon and Mr Peter.
