CBDT gets 2 new members

New Delhi, Aug. 27 The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has two new members in Mr S. S. N. Murthy and Mr Shaikh Naimuddin.

With the appointment of these two members, the CBDT Board is now in full strength and has six members besides a Chairman.

Prior to their recent elevation, Mr Murthy was Director General (Investigations), Mumbai and Mr Naimuddin was Chief Commissioner (III) in Mumbai. “These two appointments have been made to fill the vacancies on the Board. The Board is now in full strength”, a CBDT spokesperson confirmed to Business Line here today.
