Kolkata, Aug. 28 Bajaj Allianz is planning to venture into distribution of credit cards within this year, Mr Jitendra Kr. Bhagat, Chief Executive Officer, Bajaj Allianz Financial Distributors Ltd, said here.

The venture would be launched in tie-ups with banks and credit card majors, he said, adding that it was also open to launching its own credit card business subsequently if there were good margins in the offing.

“Initially, we plan to tie up with two partners for the venture,” he said, on the sidelines of a press conference to announce a product distribution tie-up with Taurus Mutual Fund.

The credit cards to be distributed through the company would bear the Bajaj Allianz brand name, while the settlements are to be done by the partners, he added.
