ECGC in pact with LVB

Coimbatore, Aug 28

Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd (ECGC) has signed its 26th corporate agency agreement with Karur-headquartered Lakshmi Vilas Bank. The agreement envisages marketing of export credit insurance products of ECGC through the bank's branch network.

Mr V. S. Reddy, Managing Director and CEO of LVB, and Mr A. V. Muralidharan, Chairman and Managing Director, ECGC, inked the agreement. Mr Muralidharan later said that the corporation was widening its marketing channels through Bancassurance and brokers channels. Besides credit insurance, the corporation also offers factoring services to exporters in association with commercial banks. "We will shortly start our services in the domestic credit insurance sector, so exporters can insure their domestic receivables, and banks, protect their working capital finance against such receivables under separate covers. The modalities are being worked out,' he said.- Our Bureau
