Sahil Group inks pact to manage Mandara Spa

Pune, Aug. 29 The Pune-based Sahil Group has entered into an agreement with the Bangkok-based MSpa Ventures Ltd to operate and manage the Mandara Spa at its property, the Radisson Resort and Spa, Alibag. The present agreement is valid for six years.

The spa has been designed according to MSpa International standards and is serviced by MSpa International staff that is trained at its headquarters in Thailand for three months, said Mr Vinay Phadnis, Chairman and Managing Director, Sahil Group of Companies.

Spread over 20,000 sq ft, it has well appointed spa suites, and offers Balinese, Thai, Swedish or Ayurvedic massages. The treatments include aromatherapy, reflexology, seaweed, mud or herbal body wraps, scrubs, facials and a selection of freshwater baths priced between Rs 3,800 and Rs 25,000.

Attached to the Mandara spa are 16 villas where specially designed packages ranging from half-a-day to two days are available.

The Radisson Resort and Spa is Alibag’s first five-star property. The total investment by Sahil Resorts and Spa India, the hospitality arm of the group, in this venture is Rs 125 crore.

With two restaurants, including the speciality Kokum and Spice offering cuisine from the Konkan region, conference facilities, fully equipped business centre, a swimming pool with a sunken bar, a library and yoga and thinking rooms, the resort is also being pitched as a MICE destination.
