Hyderabad, Aug. 29 The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is organising a two-day international summit for the packaging industry, coinciding with IndiaPack 2008, an international packaging exhibition. The summit will be held on September 19 and 20 in Mumbai. "The summit is aimed at highlighting the possibilities of business development, future strategies of packaging in terms of innovative techniques, technologies, growth sustainability, regulatory issues and safety aspect," Mr Rajiv Dhar, Director and Chief Executive Officer of the IIP, said while addressing a press conference here on Friday. He added that the focus issue of the summit will also be on what the Indian industry needs by 2020 and how this can be achieved. Around 40 speakers, including 22 from abroad would make presentations at the summit. - Our Bureau
