United Bank bags national award

Kolkata, Aug. 31

United Bank of India has received the National Award for the best performing bank in North-East region under the REGP Scheme of KVIC for 2007-08 for the second successive year, said a press statement from the bank. Mr P.K. Gupta received this award from the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, at a function organised by the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. - Our Bureau
