RIL’s D-6 gas output delay

New Delhi, Sept. 1

There is likely to be a slight delay in Reliance Industries Ltd starting production of natural gas from the D-6 block in KG basin, a senior Government official said on Monday. Speaking to newspersons on the sidelines of the 45th Indian Oil Day celebrations, the Petroleum Secretary, Mr R.S. Pandey, said, “what I have heard is that there is a little delay because of some technical problem. Gas will flow from October end.” The Government had no plans of imposing a ny penalty on RIL for the delay in production, the Secretary added. “It is in their interest to start production,” Mr Pandey pointed out. —
