Hyderabad: Lanco’s Aban Power Company Ltd (APCL) has won the National “Energy Efficient Unit” award instituted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Godrej GBC.

Lanco’s Aban is a 119.8 MW gas-based combined cycle power plant located at Karupur village in the Tanjore district of Tamil Nadu.

Its operation and maintenance is carried out by Lanco’s own in-house team.

Shortlisted from 137 contestants, Lanco’s APCL emerged as a winner on account of its innovative and proactive measures implemented to conserve electrical and thermal energy in day-to-day operations. — Our Bureau
