Stuck in impasse

Trucks waiting at the NH-2 or Durgapur Expressway, a kilometre away from the Dharna Manch of Trinamool Congress at Singur. The 10-day long protest in front of the project site by the Trinamool Congress had stopped the traffic on the National Highway and from Monday one flank of the vital highway was opened to traffic. Four stranded trucks moved out as a trial run by the National Highway Authority of India. —
