Strides gets more approvals

Bangalore, Sept. 4

Strides Arcolab Ltd said it has received ANDA approvals from the USFDA for two dexamethasone products, taking its tally to 11 out of 18 filings. The latest approvals are for anti-inflammatory injections dexamethasone USP, 4mg/ml, (1ml single-dose vials, 20mg /5 ml, 120 mg /30 ml multiple dose vials) and dexamethasone sodium phosphate USP, 10 mg /ml, (10 ml multiple-dose vials). The products are licensed to Akorn-Strides, LLC, the joint venture formed in 2004 with Akorn Inc . Mr Ravi Seth, CEO - International Operations, Strides, said, “The Akorn-Strides partnership has now received 11 ANDA approvals of the 18 filed till date and commercialisation of some of these products has already commenced effective Q3, 2008.”
