PNB pays Rs 236.91-cr dividend

New Delhi, Sept. 4

Punjab National Bank has paid Rs 236.91 crore to the Central Government towards dividend for the financial year 2007-08. The dividend cheque for the amount was handed over to the Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, by the bank’s Chairman & Managing Director, Dr K.C.Chakrabarty, here. Mr J.M. Garg, Executive Director, and Mr S. Ranganathan, General Manager of the bank, were present on the occasion. For the financial year 2006-07, PNB had paid dividend amou nting to Rs 182.24 crore to the Central Government.
