Bangalore, Sept 4

IBM is implementing a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-based solution for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd to track LPG cylinders from bottling plant to the end-consumer. IBM will design, deploy and integrate the RFID solution, which will streamline the process of identification of LPG cylinders during bottling, distribution and supply chain and is expected to cover 5 lakh cylinders in the pilot phase.
